Blue Lace Agates are known for their beautiful banded patterns of light blue and white.  Comprised of the minerals chalcedony and quartz, Agate naturally forms within volcanic cavities and pre-existing rock formations. Agates have been discovered with the artifacts of Neolithic people and were used by the early Egyptians before 3000 B.C. The stones were also utilized in jewelry in ancient India.
